Michèle Lavoie - sculptor, artist, teacher
A native of Rimouski, Michèle currently lives, works and teaches in Montreal. She was the head of the wood and stone sculpting department for the Saidye Bronfman Centre for 19 years. After the Bronfman Centre closed in 2007, Michèle opened her own studio where she continues to teach today.
Michèle graduated with an MFA from L’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Her work has been part of several solo and group exhibitions throughout Canada and the United States as well as France where she was a member of an artists group knows as Artistes à la Bastille.
Michèle’s work is part of public and private collections.
